Anyway, congrats on the passat!! I agree with Lantern, First things you need to check is the vac lines!! Pref the ones going and coming from the Diverter Valve!! Next chabge the stock 710a dv to either the 710n(audi tt model) or a forge, etc. The 710n is around $40.00 and will hold boost fine if you're chipped!! I've been eunning one for 3 years and still peak at 19 psi! Also, get yourself a boost guage!!! That way you can monitor you rpsi and hg levels accordingly.... Do these first before chipping! The passat 1.8t's also have some sludge issues..... Remember mobil 1 syn oil. Best thing to do is drop the oil pan and check for any sludge,etc. If you have it, there's something called auto r/x that works wonders for this issue!! As far as chips go...... $500 for a 1.0 bar is the norm.... Giac, apr,wett are the brands of choice! I personally have giac because Suncaost in sarasota does this at their dealership!! I don't know the prices now, but shouldn't be more than $550 flashed!! In and out in 30 minutes
