haha owned.
the crx would work like this:
1. FWD. No one wants a RWD car with a midget sized wheelbase.
2. Under 2600lbs. By today's standards, that's pretty light, and will allow it to have some features without being a stripped down bucket.
3. Two models:
-Base, call it DX. Give it Civic EX engine, with 140-150hp...whatever those things make now. You know, the usual SOHC i-vtec deal that gets good mpg.
-Sport, call it Si for purists. Give it a K20 with 200hp and be done with it. The car will fly. Give it some slightly better suspension, some neater seats, maybe upgraded stereo, and HFP OE aero package, some upgraded wheels. Done.
Keep the base model around $17K and the Si under $20K.
The biggest problem is that it won't happen because if the CRX looked half decent, and people found out they could get 200hp out of a lighter car for less money, the Civic Si coupe sales would take a nosedive. Honda has so many models out now, I don't forsee a CRX making it unless they trim the offerings.
