Didn't you ever wonder why an $800 Bose sound system uses paper cone speakers? They really aren't that stupid. Most poly-plastic based cones are too heavy to maintain accurate sound.
Why is it that most factory amps only put out 10-20 watts of power to each channel? You don't need massive amount of power to create massive amounts of sound.
If you aren't looking for accurate sound, then go with a nice set of anything with a big magnet. They will definitely pump out lots of bass and ear tearing highs, just don't mistake that for accurate sound.
If you splice into the stock harness, use the stock mids and the stock tweeters with well designed crossovers and a decent amp, you will get magnificent sound without needing to throw hundreds of watts of power out the window.
Everything you've learned or experience in car audio is probably based around big sound or big bass. Not many people appreciate the subtle beauty of accurately reproduced music.
