Oh this shit is classic.
So, i have some cat msg me about the RX7...wants pictures and all that, so i point them to my thread, then starts complaining that i am asking way to much for the car because it isnt clean (i really dont see how i am asking too much for a 10 second car, when im only asking 3700 bucks, but whatever) and making comments about the hood. I say my peace and they continue to ramble on about doing a LS1 swap when they find a really clean RX7...at this point i really dont even care anymore cause its nothing but a waste of my time...you wanna go fast, you go old school small/big block...you wanna be a nutswinger and hang with 1/2 the fast cars, go LSx/LQx. anyways, they send me a picture of this older caddy sts...and tells me they have a C5 block in it (LS1 block) and boy do i get a good old laugh outta that. Im sure its probably in the realm of possibilities that it could be done i guess...but this cat specifically mentions nothing else to me, other than it has a c5 block. Nothing about a cam, or cams, or heads, or exhaust, or anything else relevant other than it had, IN THEIR WORDS, "a corvette block". On that basis alone i don't believe a word of it, and am laughing my ass off still as i write this. It may have been partially feasable if he said an LS1 bottom end...but this cat acted as if they actually went out and specifically hunted down a vette bottom end, as if it was somehow any different than the bottom end of an fbodies LS1. I'd be really interested to see how they got it to work though..i mean with the FWD, and DOHC of the northstar heads and all.
anywho, just thought i would share another tale of TR.
