Here is my .02 up to this poinnt from the various posts:
Why bring up the fact that Mustang owners need to mod their cars more when yours (Bad281) is stock ? No hating here I would like to see the current Mustang crowd get crazy like the old 5.0 crowd did.
Mustangs have always been the benchmark for speed in the Pony car ranks. Just look in the War Story forum at any given point and count the title that have Mustang in them.
Unfortunatley there are far more import companies and available import models than there are Mustangs so by sheer numbers the import crowd is going to be more popluar witg entry level crowd.
IMO it is crazy to see someone drop $5k - $10k in a import that they are inteneding to make faster and then they hardly crack 13's. I know there are exceptions to the rule but we are talking about the mainstream here.

This is not all motor though. I would hope they could develop this kind of power with big turbos or lots of bottle which is what I see 99% of the time on the faster Hondas.
300 rwhp floats my boat and gets me 12.0's all day. I guess it just depends if you know how to apply what you have.
The new Mustang GT's are pretty slow in the grand scheme of things. Sorry.
As Dirt said Ford gears most of their marketing money towards female buyers and for many reasons. It just so happens a lot of men buy them.
