like they said above.. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!! invest in latex gloves your nasty fingerprints arent even cool on an engine.. probly wont hurt it but just be anal.. clean everything.. check every measurment.. torque every bolt.. im not talking just studs and rod bolts and stuff.. when you do it right ... DO IT RIGHT!! torque the oil pain v/c and everything man. do it all to specs.. and like they said before me find an engine builder to help you with specs like boosted motors can have a little more clearance on the piston rings than n/a motors.. make sure every gasket surface is spotless.. no fingerprints nothin.. measure everything.. then measure it two more times.. plastigauge is your friend dont be afraid to be liberal with it and check every rod not just one and assume others are right. actually dont assume anything.. if you dont KNOW it will run when your done.. you need to tear it down and check everything again lol.. ask lots of questions and study that FSM like your life depends on it.. and again.. KEEP IT CLEAN!! during my engine build i used black trash bags to cover my engine.. and every night i went in after working on it.. it got a diff bag.. the old one was thrown aside.. then first thing i did the next time i worked on the motor was check my previous work.. then started new work.. dont be afraid to check everything.. dont put the oil pan and v/c on untill your ready for the motor to go in the car.. and be EXTREMELY liberal with the engine assembly lube.. you spent a lot on your parts.. make sure they stay ncie lol..
