a 350 crank has a 2.45 mian and is a 3.48 stroke,
chevy small block mains are 2.30,2.45 and 2.65
the 2.65 is what is use in a chevy 400 with a 4.125 bore

ALL Chevy big blocks used...Mains-2.7488"-2.7495"---Rods-2.20"

A BIG BLOCK CRANK WILL NOT WORK IN A 350 BLOCK!

and to get a 383 u use a 4.030 bore and a small block 400 crank witch is 3.75 not 3.76 witch was used in a 396 and 402.

so who ever said big block crank in your small block is full of shit..and no bearing companys make a bearing for an app like that and the 350 mains will not bore out to a 2.74 with out many problems..a bowtie block could have a 2.65 main and a 4.00-4.150 bore though

hope this helps u understand stuff a lil more..if u have anymore ? feel free to pm me.
