one day in the virgin islands my parents went out and i was home alone asleep in my room. most houses don't have a\c just open the window for a cool island breeze. but one of the windows had a broken screen that was taken down. i was sleep flat on my back stretched out on my bed then all of a sudden i felt the most nastiest feeling i heve ever felt. i felt a hundred tiny (ugh i just got a shiver thinking about it) legs walking on my face!!! yes ON MY FACE. i immediately knew it was a CENTIPEDE. (for those who do not know what this is do a search) they are very very poisonous and often leave sores to the place where they bite. after realizing this i jump from flat off my back about three to four feet away from my bed. i did not roll to get up and i did not sit up and the jumped up. i was so frightened i jumped like i said flat from off of my back to the floor. my fears was then comfirmed as i saw the CENTIPEDE crawl under my pillow. it was real dark in color and a good six to seven inches long. those are to be more poisonous than the lighter ones. as i got my self together but still pretty shook up i said i got to kill this. we usually kill them when found outside by chopping them up with a machete (when we do this they still be alive for a while and can move around a little), but this was inside and had no machete and had to do this now. so i grabbed a shoe (not thinking straight) and lifted up the pillow where it was under and hit it. forgetting or not thinking and realizing it was on the bed. (remember this scared the crap out of me luckily not literally though) the force i hit it with made it bounce off the bed and onto the floor.

it was so big i could hear it bumping into the walls. (getting crazy chills writing this) i went outside and got a machete and a can of raid also, it told my neighbor and he came over to help me look for it but we could not find it. i sprayed almost every inch of my room. when my parents came home i told them and my dad went to look for it and did not find it. of course i did not sleep in that room that night and a for a whole week i did not sleep in there. but my dad being all brave slept in there that night. i hope to be brave like him someday

. but i am truly glad it did not bite me cause it would have really really messed me up. this is a what happened to me for real not making this up.
try pulling your hand out of a bush and seeing about 7 brown recluses on your hand..and then getting bit by about 5 of them.my hand was swollen to 10x its normal size in less than 2 minutes i kid you not.worst pain ever.
