The sand didn't have anything to do with it. There was uneven pavment and he has on his brakes going down hill. This compressed the forks to far and when he hit the bump in the road it throw him over the handle bars. And the bike hit the side of the mountian.

Acually he only needs a few pieces if you are going to split it up he might be interested.
