I doubt Jeff was saying your car is a hack job. I think he means how people perceive an FI car turned to a carb. I do know several people who are interested in buying stangs. However, if they see a carb on it, they won't even consider buying it. These people just see it as the car has issues and won't ever be the same.
(Remember, that is how they see it.) However, these are people who aren't going to be drag racing them every week.
