the original pics are some guys 3D model on what he would like it to look like..its hideous imo.

The STi hasnt been released yet, there is footage of it lapping the ring, but its all cammo'd up.

Regardless of what it looks like, it will be over weight and under powered, just like every Imprezza made since 2000.

Hatch is their way of going for mass appeal, they forget that when they water it down to go for mass appeal they now compete with 20 other cars in that category and the imprezza loses what made it unique and special .. its just another 20-30k sport compact car, of which there are lots to choose from.

New impreza STi needs to be a coupe, 320+ HP, 350+ ft/lb and under 3000 lbs. Get back to when the impreza was the most car you could buy for the money under 100K, back to when it won car of the decade 1990-2000, back to when a WRX with minor or no mods destroyed anything ford and GM offered at the time.

Now its just yet another 20-30K car with nothing really outstanding.

If someone produced the old 99 RS shells with the new 2007 STi drive trains in them for 30K, i'd be all over it. Light, powerful and in my eyes, a unique car.
