i honestly believe it WAS a fluke. He SHOULD have offered you a factory replacement gasket as an option rather than take it upon himself to save you $$ which is what I honestly think he was doing. I also probably think they DID check the bike out before returning it to you. The thing with Gasket Maker is that it may seal for a while, then all of the sudden let go, do to pressure and what not. All of this still does not explain the zip ties, that is just loow. If the zip ties were temporary because he was ordering you new bolts that would be cool in my book but i didnt see that mentioned. It still leaves a lot to be questioned.
I have heard they are really reasonable as far as pricing for labor/parts (better than the stealerships). This should be an example of why you should invest in a shop manual and some hand tools

On visit to a stealership would buy these for you and you can have the satisfaction of you did it yourself and it was done THE RIGHT WAY (or as right as you wanted to for all of you half-assers and n(*&r riggers like myself
