I guess I haven't made it as clear as I thought I did.
If I were in the situation described in this thread, as soon as I noticed oil on the bike, I'd have been in contact with RTM. I would not have gone public with my problem before discussing it with the shop owner. If they were closed when I noticed it, I'd have paid out of pocket to get the bike home, rented a car, whatever I needed to do, with the full intention of being reimbursed by the shop for any money I spent as a reaction to their bad work. If they gave me any trouble at all, then going public with the experience would be in my back pocket as leverage to ensure that the situation is taken care of to my satisfaction. A lot of you disagree with me, and as I mentioned before that is your prerogative. I'm clearly outnumbered here so we'll just go ahead and say that the rest of you win and I lose.
