This little rant deserves little in way of response as far as I'm concerned. Your ethuggery is unimpressive.

The bike owner took the bike to the shop partially disassembled for a reason, most likely an effort to spend as little as possible on labor (which is fine). To then expect the shop to do more labor for free is not fair to the business in my opinion. You won't find too many shops that are willing to give you their resources (tools) to work on your own stuff at their shop so that you can avoid paying them to do it. If you find one, let me know, I'd love access to a four post lift and an alignment machine. Fasteners aren't free, look at the faring stay mounts in the original pictures. If the windscreen fasteners were in similar shape, it's no wonder that they weren't reusable. The zip ties are a viable temporary solution to the problem.

I'm not trying to paint the bike owner in a negative light, I can see all of this going down without any malicious intent from anyone. I don't believe that this experience is indicative of what RTM customers normally see. I think there were some mistakes made and it has snowballed into an unnecessarily public discussion, mostly among people who were not involved at all (myself included of course).

wait wait so ur saying just because he didnt get hurt that he should give the bike shop another chance? im not usually one to say what if's are fine but in this situation a what if could of been deadly.. which in my book is not right.. just because he had luck on his side of him not going down he should go back and say hey guys u really fucked up on my bike before can u at least try to get it all right this time? and i dont know what bike shops you have been to but all the ones i go to esp kawi on 34th st and 34ave in st.pete are extremely nice and always willing to work with u... shit i didnt have the right tools at my house to put on my chain and sprockets on and he only charged me $15 to do it... they have offered me parts if i needed them and they even let me use their tooks to put on my frame sliders because i dont have a compressor at my house... this isnt a car that were messing with its a bike and with a bike comes the love and passion we all have... every shop is different its not like a car shop where they just throw the shit back together... they look it over and test ride them a couple of times and if the shit isnt right the 1st time they go back and do it again... like stated above u can keep taking ur bike there but they lost my business before i even seen the shop...
