there are car classes, from H stock to A stock and then there is "super stock" the closer you get to "A" or SS the faster the car is. both the mustang and camaro class in "F stock" the vette classes in "SS" so no neither are ready to compete against a vette, and the mustang has yet to over come the f body, so it is even one step further from the vette.
Um, don't look now, but you're talking about a Mustang, we're talking about a Cobra. There's kinda a difference. True, the difference is only 130hp, bigger brakes, and IRS, but that just MAY make a difference in its ability to road race.
