why would you get an evo over the sti. for one the evo has a viscus center diff that is mechanically controlled. the sti has an electronically controlled diff. something that mitsu didnt want to put in cause there wasnt any room for emissions, but subaru seemed to be able to fit it in with emissions. and 2nd the sti has way more HP and a hundred times the TRQ. plus .5 litres more. so i guess it would be a better platform to work on too.
