There was a thread about this on bike tech a while ago. As i said in the previous thread, allegedly people saw him at R Beach earlier that evening. It's really sad. You would think someone who is supposed to uphold the law would follow it. Thank god he ran into the back of something big enough that the person he hit was not injured. What if he had hit a van with a family in it?? Not to top it off he was driving an issued car at the time of the crash. I've heard stories of drinking and driving about other police officers in the area. If the stories are in fact true, I hope they learned a lesson from this mans self brought misfortune. It's a lose lose situation, the police look bad and someone lost a life. I just have a problem with a police officer that drives drunk and then hassles people for not having tag lights or having a modified exhaust. Not saying he did....but i guess every time i get pulled over for something stupid it will be a question in the back of my head.
