it really depends on how much power your tranny will feel. Id do 1-4 straight cut with new syncro's and i say this only because.....

lets SAY you go 1-2 and you get your tranny back and your all happy! YAY i got ppg gears..... you put your tranny back in and take it for a spin....then BOOM you blow 3rd..... OUCH....
