The VR2 does allow more air in and hits my eyes as well. The KBC Force RR series I had no issues with air hitting my eyes.

I think it is more the model than anything. You could go buy another brand and run into the same problem. Best bet is to buy at a place like Cycle Gear that allows you to return the helmet if you don't like it... that way you can be sure the helmet you buy won't dry out your contacts.
