im just saying the newer dohc v8s all have higher compressions.

old school single cam v8's usually were 8.5:1 or 9:1 motors in stock form, but had grunt in other ways.

and yeah it will be expensive but that hasnt stopped rich guys from TT'ing ford GTs and such. oh to have money!
