Question about a mono amp
I have an Autotek MX1500.1. Its listed as a Class X mono amp and has its power ratings listed as 1 ch but the amp has 2 sets of speaker outputs. One of the positive terminals has a box around it and says "bridged" underneath it. I'm used to an amp saying bridged under 2 terminals but this just has it under 1 positive. My last mono amp, Rockford BD1000, only had 1 set of speaker terminals so I was a lil confused when I saw this amp had 2. I bought this amp in 04 and had the shop throw it in the car for me so I never got a chance to check it out. Now Im putting it in my Civic and I just noticed this.
So my question is, how would I wire my sub box to the amp? I have 1 pair of wires coming from the box. Would I put them to the positive terminal that says bridged and the negative next to it? Usually a 2 ch will have you use one terminal from each ch so this 1 ch with 2 outputs deal is throwing me off.
Thanks,
Frankie
