Go for the blower. If you are not class racing, the only thing that counts is the end result. If you have to put that little qualifier on the end of your stories..."yeah, but that's without a power adder"...that only means you're not giving yourself the respect that you want from others. Besides, everything is a power adder. Ported aluminum heads are a power adder, a stroker is a power adder, a bigger cam is a power adder...you get the picture. If you're slower than someone else with a similar car, it's probably because he has added more power.

Joe's cool and has a lot of work in his car...but I'm still faster, or was. Plus...he's got a lot of work in my car too.

OTOH, Derek's cool too, and has a lot of work in his car and he's faster than me. (This actually makes Joe much cooler in my book if you know what I mean)

Aw, hell. It all boils down to go as fast as you can whatever it takes as long as you're not constrained by class rules.
