The RR is located under the rear tail of the bike, usualy on the left side. It can simply be checked at first with a voltage meter. I dont remember the exact specs but measure the voltage at idle, then over 5k, if they are all greatere then 13 but less then 14.6 then you should be ok and everythings charging. If it is turning over fine then its more in likely not the RR. When the RR quits it either sticks open or closed. Open it will not charge the system at all and your voltage will contiunely drop, if its stuck closed it will just keep building up more voltage and start frying the electrical system. Id simply check the grounds and make sure everything is straight there.
