you're right it does...the c2 vette came out in 63 and the nissan 2000gt was a 63-64 proto...german designer goertz based it off the c2

nissan turned the idea down and yamaha and goertz went to toyota with the idea (yamaha 2.0L I4)...

thus was born the toyota 2000gt, later goertz's idea would be back to turn the nissan 2000gt proto into the 240z
