Also, when I go riding, I have a separate wallet thta I keep in my pocket of my jacket. IT has my parents contact(s) numbers, closed freinds, blood type, what I"m alergic too (iodine), SS# and some other mics. I did this cause you never know.
I started doing this last year when I took my road trip to kansas. This is a very creepy topic. I think that " what if I never come home" question every time I put my helmet on. The most important people in the world to me are my Wife and my unborn daughter and I make sure to tell them that I love them every time I leave. You just never know. All the skill in the world wont save you if something just happens.
The note sounds like a bad idea because you'd be mind setting yourself into failure. But if your that worried about something happening to you, maybe now is not the time to take that risk if ever. Or you could just ride the track like a lot of people do.
