That's what happened to my girlfriend's sister's car (97GS), took it to Courtesy Mitsu, and told us it'll cost 60 bucks to do it.......I was like fuck that.
You are dumb if you pay the dealer even 1.00 to give you the code... Its free. You just call the dealer and give them the serial number from the unit and they look it up and give it to you right then and there.
They will charge you 60 bucks if you just take it there since they have to take your radio out to get the serial number.
