The shifting comes right away unless I have tried to get on it through the gears and I have put it from 1st to 4th a few times. The hard part is that your body has been left of center while driving and now it is right. I constantly push the car to the left side of the lane. Everyone does it. Every person that I have let drive it has also turned on the windsheild wipers instead of the turn signals. The best part of me driving and having someone in the passenger seat for the first time is to get them talking and not paying any attention and when we approach a light I have seen there foot reach for the brake pedal, I have seen them reach for the imaginary steering wheel and gas pedal when the light turns green. Almost everyone has grabbed at the door handle trying to get it into gear when the light turns green when in the drivers side. It's funny to see them reaching around. Some laugh and some act like they were not doing it. I've done it myself. I have even walked up to the car while people were standing around it and I have gotten in on the wrong side. Shit happens.
