coming in here saying they are lame didn't really help your case any. and yes, v8 = ftw. the more cubes, the more potential. i give credit where credit is due...but if i had to make the choice between a 500whp turbo 4 banger, and a LS1...i'd have to go with the LS1. you're not putting anywhere near the strain on it. just cause a car is quick doesn't mean its going to be on the road for another 50k miles.
