From all the hype I thought they'd fixed all of the usual rotary problems. I guess the only thing they fixed was the port location that caused too many pollutants to escape the exhaust port to sell them under modern emissions regs. The RX-7s had the same issues- you had to know just how to treat them for them to run right.

I highly doubt all of the middle-aged women I see driving those cars are revving them out to 9000 rpm on a regular basis. I know I would- A. the cars are smooth as silk all the way up and B. the cars have no power below 5000 rpm.
