Try it starting off at 325 rwhp. And you used aftermarket heads. These were stock LS1 heads and valves, only with a port job and milling. What would it take you to reach 417 rwhp with a hydraulic cam and still be a very tame daily driver with 25 mpg? Alot more $$$$ than $2000
Your still using the stock upper and lower intake? If not add that to your price list as well as your new carb
Well since I only paid $12.5k for the car brand new I think I am still far ahead of anything GM has put out in the meantime.
No milling on my heads and my port job consisted of about a hours worth of work to clean them up. Yes you used stock heads and started off with 325 hp, I would hope so with 40 + more cubic inches.
417 rwhp with a hydraulic cam would not be a problem if had a 347 which would again be the same as the LS1.
Stock upper intake ?

Umm o.k. ?
Lower intake costed $100 and the new (untuned) carb cost $300.
So it looks like I am still under $2k with the current set-up.
No replacement for displacement. Maybe this argument would be better if we used the GM 305 as a comparision and you would still have a few more c.i.d.'s..
