No Scott...the LS/LQ does not share a single piece with any other GM motor and has only been in existance since 1997. And I think your wrong about the aftermarket drying up. The LS1 type motor will be in the next gen vette and Camaro, GTO, SSR as well as every V8 SUV that GM makes. We also get some good products and R&D from all the Holdens using LS1s in Aussie land.

Anyways....this was not a post about GM vs Ford. It was supposed to be about a nearly 100 hp gain from heads and cam for $2000 in parts.
