As a Madza owner I felt that they went in the wrong direction with the RX-8 platform. The company should have stuck to the roots of the RX-7 and created a sports car, not an underpowered quasi touring car. They also made a mistake by leaving the car naturally aspirated. If Mazda would have released a more aggressive looking MX-5 with a single turbo 13B, it would have been a hit.
