I'll make it real simple.
This accident was "unavoidable", you are correct, and I don't disagree with that (and yes, it's a tragedy).
I've taught my son not to be the idiot out there. Not to be the one that is causing the shit.
And this is the problem. It doesn't matter what you taught your son (I'm sure Robert's parents did the same, as any proud parent would have). Nobody was racing, and you yourself said it was unavoidable.
So, let me fill you in.
On a saturday night, 11pm-2am on CCC
within 4 weeks, there will be another accident
within 8 weeks, there will be another serious accident
within 12 weeks, there will be another fatality
Name another stretch of road as dangerous as this in a defined time frame, where people like to 'hang out'.
knowing how dangerous this location is...do you still think it's okay to hang out there? Before you answer that, remember, incidents like this one were 'Unavoidable', and didn't even involve streetracing.
