I believe: Same Bore/Stroke/Rod size, piston size.
Head is different which raises the compression.
y8 = p2p ECU (I have one goin up for sale soon)
D series axles, Y8 = 9.6:1 compression, same mounts. Should just bolt in. Easy swap.
