I dont really think its a good idea to put 87 octane gas in your car but I also dont think its a good idea to use extremely high octane gas. Either way I dont think change octane rating of gas going into your engine. I believe you should use a certain octane rating and stick with it. Personally I always use 92 or 93 octane gas only.
