Whenever I get an email or see something that seems inflamatory, usually it ends up not being true. I agree the immigration situation is fucked up, along with many other things - but all of these issues could really do without the extra hateful inflamatories (word?).
It makes you wonder about the things that bother us in life...things that other people want to make sure we are bothered by. Who are these people who try (successfully in most cases) to infuence us in this way? Why cant we form our own opinions - or admit that we don't have enough evidence (that wasn't handed to us by the news) to make an educated opinion of our own? I say it's because we have been trained to have an opinion about everything...to make up our minds about everything even if we don't have the facts or the facts that we do have were spoon-fed to us to influence a preferred outcome.
My point? Most people don't know when to say "I don't know." or "I don't have enough valid information to have an educated opinion.".
