You say that you used to think like me... you're making it sound like I don't really like reservists and think that they are turds. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I happen to have friends and family in the reserves, and I was going to do it myself. I have tons of friends in 4thRecon in Hawaii right now, and many are getting ready to get shipped. I am in a hold pattern right now, due to paperwork, not desire. I'd be over there in a minute, right along side all of those reservists and other leathernecks that have been called up, if I could.
As far as going to the treeline... that's always an option.
