and just so you know, i have been active. 4 years active may not compare to what you say you have done or the amount of time you have in the Corps. but i have served this country the same as you and put my time in. i think everyone should serve. i picked the Marines becuase i truly love our country. if i cared about the college shit i would have joined the pussy army. i served 4 years as a combat engineer, playing with c-4 and mines. been all over as well. as you know the military does not pay shit, i have a family i need to take care of that was more important to me, so i got out and now make an assload more.
call me a reservist, but at least im a rich reservist.

As far as the military not paying, what the fuck ever! Maybe the lower ranks didn't pay too good, which I know, but when you make rank, you bank. Trust me, if I didn't, I wouldn't have two 2002 Pontiacs in the driveway, a 900RR in the garage, and a freshly built house. Oh, and I was married since I was an E1, so I know about raising a family on jr enlisted money.
I commend you for serving your country, and even more so for doing it in the Corps! There are tons of kids on this board that would be too chicken shit or ungreatful to serve their country, let alone do it in the Corps. We have quite a few jarheads around here, that you probably don't even realize. I won't throw the names out, because I respect their privacy. You were active duty you say... when you were, did you ever give the reservists shit for it? I hope you're not going to lie and tell me that you never busted a reservists balls about being a part-timer!
