If you hit your head, you're supposed to replace the helmet b/c the foam compresses and will not provide much help if hit again.
Many manufacturers will inspect the helmet to tell you if it has damage.

The helmet wore through to the foam actually.
Infact I had ordered another one prior to the wreck. Maybe I am psychic or maybe ordering new gear jynxed me.
