The terms "boxer" and "flat" are just nicknames for a horizontally opposed engine design. They are the same thing.

Anyway, like Zate said, talk to the techs at Mastro they can lead you in the right direction. In fact, Jon, the mechanic I always deal with there owns a SVX so I'm sure he could tell you alot about them.
