I read the other posts about trying to swap a manual for an auto, and everyone seems to agree this is way too complicated. Is it the same in reverse?

I have found a really sweet deal on a 94 Teg, in PERFECT condition, only problem is that its a slushbox, which IMO is a crime. I will most likely be purchasing this car either way, since $2500 for this car is too good to pass up, but I want to know what my options are. I had planned to do a lot of performance mods to it and make it a sweet project car, but I think thats all kind of a waste of money if I keep the auto. If its not worth it to do the swap, then I will just use it as a daily driver and look elsewhere for a project.

Any advice??

PS -- would the tranny swap be any easier if I do an engine swap at the same time? Like replace the entire drivetrain at once?
