Metal polish? wtf.
Dry sand with about 400grit paper until you get the yellow out, then wetsand with 800, going up to about 1600. Its a lot of boring work but it pays off. At the end use rubbing compound and/or plastic-X i think it is. Works great, make sure to rub it in good and don't get it on your paint, looks like someone whacked off all around your headlights.
