i bet the rattling is from the timing chain, i had the exact car and it did the same thing, the timing chain was hitting pretty loud and it sounded like a rod knock or spun bearing...IMO it is Worth eveyr penny of 2k, this is a very clean car from what i can see in the pix...GOODLUCK with the sale man if i had enough to make a reasonable offer i would make on but i dot so....
