Aha...glad to hear it...

The 'Cobra is a beast, and if not for the 3600+ pound curb weight hardtop, it could be a track contender with the C5 (3200+lbs).
As such, the extra weight will eat tires and brakes a great deal where turns are involved.

That IRS, iron block, new 6-spd etc. really hurt that car (I was a 'stang driver when they weighed 3100-3200 lbs fully loaded with angry 5.0's under the hood-and ate early C4 'vettes straight line).

Oh, and believe it or not, talking about traction-the biggest power/handling/braking reduction is the factory C5 GoodYear Run Flats. They are worthless after one year performance wise (the reduced rubber coupled with the drying and the no-flex sidewall) ride awful and roar like Satan claiming your soul above 40 mph cruising. Mine at the one year mark spun always in first (from just above idle as it went through the powerband regardless of temperature) and for at least 2-seconds on the lift shift to 2nd. Can you say a waste of power?

Now I just went to NRFlats and the difference in traction, ride comfort , and grip are incredible (and not just b/c they are bigger).

These things grab like fangs, and I estimate a minimum 2 tength increase in the quarter...
