You use WD-40 to clean the chain, let it sit for about ten minutes. Then spray it with water. Let it drip dry then lube it with Chain wax or Chain lube. Let it set in for like an hour....
I have 14K miles on my bike now my chain looks like its new, the sprocket is also in great shape
WFO, had it off last week when I was replacing my tires. Normally clean and wax my chain around 500 - 800 miles or when it looks like it needs cleaning and chain lube. I do it after I ride so the chain is nice and warm, put it on a bike stand let it run in gear as I spray the WD 40 and let in spin a few times. Then I let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then spray it with my presure washer as its running in gear then when the chain looks good I let it sit for a few minutes. Then Spray it with Chain wax or PJ lube. When this is done the bike shifts great and smooth... I just did mine last night..
