Default Chipped ECU ?

Heard a horror story, so now I have to ask a question. After recieving back a chipped ECU can you run the program first to make sure they did it correctly before installation.

I heard about a guy who sent out his ECU to be chipped for all motor, got it back, installed it and found out it was chipped for turbo and bad things happened to his engine. That is why it wouldn't tune correctly and did horribly on the dyno.

No, I am not chipping mine yet. Just looking for info. Thanx.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
