When you push it in and it stops, but not far enough in,
Tap the wheel end of the axle with a 2 X 4.
If it feels like it has bottomed out, but isn't in far enough,
rotate it a tiny amount and tap it again, rotate and tap until the splines line up, both on the axle and the transmission.-Bob
