I think Ive ran nitrous the most on this site on a mod motor(if not close anyways).
I had a 98 gt with every bolt-on known to man for it.
Headers,off road Hpipe,Dumps,355,then a 410gear,Timing adj,70mm TB,80mm Mass-air,Pullies,70-30 struts,no sway bars(anywhere),shifter,Manual fan switch,Screamin Demon Coil packs,LCA's,Eibach Drag Springs,and Juice.............
Then after a couple of years put 2001 P&Pd heads and intake:o
That was like adding Juice again
You will want too get the NOS Kit for your 2002 I cant remember the part number but this is what it comes with(If the kit your buying doesnt have all of this in it then dont get it):
1. Window switch with 3000&6000rpm pills in it.
2. Fuel safety switch
3. Bottle
4. All the wiring(ties in with your Throttle Sensor)
5. Bottle (of course)and Nitrous lines,Solinoids
6. Arming switch
Think that is it 1,2 are very important and should not be left out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I left out the window switch on my old car at it bite me in the axx.
But still ran a 12.4@112 without a piece of my piston:o .
If you get a Wet kit then youll be installing an intake its not when it how many?
The Nozzle kit from NOS is the best of the best in my opinion but is pricey but you get what you pay for and it install so that all the Nitrous and fuel goe in your engine instead of anything through your intake.
Dont go over a 100 shot(125 isnt going to make you that much faster just make you closer to making a mistake)this will put you in the best performance/safty margin for your car then work on stuff like suspension,lose weight(your car not you)Good tires,if you have an auto get a stall convertor,Lt headers......Everything adds up at the track or should I say subtracts(within reason).
Nos Kits come pretty safe if you do what they tell you.Once you get your engine mods done then you want more go get it tuned!!
If you stay with a 100 shot dont worry about timing but just to be safe if your going to beat on it get a gal. or two of 100 octane race fuel for an extra safty eature if you do this your car should be fine for a long time.I ran a 125 shot on my GT for 3yrs safely then I got greedy and it cost me so your lesson of the day dont get greedy and youll be happy for a long time there is nothing better than hit the gas and feeling an extra 100 HP hit you where it counts
