That is true... I made 409/505TQ with the stock clutch and turbo, never even had the valve cover to intake manifold off ( or cam gears, or any type of pulleys and crap ).
It will do 500whp for a good while ( not like 3 years or anything ), but longer than a DSM will do 425-450whp...
Were you tuned at all, what about fuel? So, basically just exhaust and a boost controller will get you 400-500whp? It's just hard to believe.....oh wait, you said you were spraying right? Even still, the turbo and internals seem to be on borrowed time, I can only think of 2 engines that can run 500whp reliably on stock internals. (2j and rb26) <--MIND YOU IMPORT TURBO ENGINES AND NOT LSX SERIES OBVIOUSLY. + you still have to at least change to aftermarket cams to get that type of power.
I just think that if it were that easy, every SRT-4 on the road would be 400whp would it not?
But hey if you guys can do it, more power to ya.
