How about some specifics as to the "other linkage"-Bob

.............................how crucial of a part is the other linkage that holds the shifter up? In other words could you not use that linkage and just bolt the shifter up by making a bracket for it or....can you modify that linkage to not come in contact with the shift linkage without sacrificing the way your car shifts?
